Hey guys, I bought a 2-stroke engine kit, and right now just need a bike.. was thinking of the micargi falcon GT, but I heard there were a few problems mounting an engine on it.

-Mounting the motor (can be solved with simple U-bolt)
-Chain hitting the fender (I can jsut toss the fender)
-Intake problems (Not sure about this one...)
-Mounting the sprocket to the 68 spoke wheel (After hours of searching... all the old solutions aren't available anymore, like the sprocket adapter that used to be sold on pirate cycles)

Can anybody help me with this? Especially with the sprocket, I emailed piratecycles... thanks guys!

Ps. Or maybe I should just go with an Electra cruiser.. which is just not as pretty

I have seen Mic Falcon motorized builds. I have not heard of frame failures. I would trim the rear fender with a hacksaw, rather than toss it. Use a rasp to smooth the sharp edges. Some of our advertisers on this site sell offset intake manifolds (used when the seat tube interferes with the carb). You could buy a 36 spoke rear wheel or try removing half the spokes from the 68 wheel.

Hey, thanks for replying -- by "toss the fender" I meant just put it aside until I'm not so lazy then I'd cut some of it off (but now i know how to properly do it, thx)

I'm gonig to go on a hutn for the offset... and i was misinformed, theres a micargi model that looks really similar to what I'm going to buy, but the falcon GT does have 36 spokes haha... my bad.

But thanks for the info, ready to buy the bike now that I'm set ;)
