Shift kit for a single speed?

Is it possible to put a shift kit on a single speed fixie (yes it has freewheel) and if so which one and how?

You could change your rear wheel so it had a multi-speed hub like
a Sturmey Archer 3 or 5 speed.
I am not sure how the widths on the frame would work with the change.

www.SickBikeParts.com sells the only shift kits worth buying.
 
Sure, it could be done, but you'd probably have to do some calculations to figure out the optimum crank sprocket sizes.

I can help if I know which engine you have, what size your current front and rear sprocket is, and what size your rear wheel is.
 
Ill do some measurements when i get back to my house, i have the motovelo 80cc high performance engine.
The Motovelo "high performance engine" is 66 cc and pretty much
the same as their "regular" engine except they charge a lot more. :D

So, you want to spend $140 + to move the drive chain to the other side
and not be able to shift gears?
A single speed shift kit?
