Lean Gas=Schorched piston:(

Firstly you have a problem: your brothers and brother-in-laws fail to respect that "your bike" is specifically "your bike", and it's not someone elses toy to youride and then walk away from the damage they've caused.
Before you go too much further, that fundamental problem needs to be fixed; their lack of respect for your possessions.

The engine needs a minimum about of oil added to the fuel. The very leanest oil/fuel mixture these engines will cope with (when given a hard time, for an extended period of time) is 40:1, but if really beating on the engine, you're best to run the oil/fuel ratio at 25:1

The bee engine is a designed to run a 50:1. since i ride rough i run it 40:1. it seems to be the perfect mixture. its only a 26cc engine. It would work at 25:1. but thats a little to rich.
My inlaw did buy another motor for it so its not that bad. If he hadn't i would have been alot more upset. Plus ya know i hate tinkering on my bike when i should be riding:devilish:

I messed up. I though you were talking about the China Girl engine. I have no experience with such small capacity engines such as the Bumblebee. If the Bee engine is rated for 50:1 and they're prepared to stand by the warranty, you should run the engine at 50:1 oil/fuel ratio.

Bumblebee suggest that you run 40:1. The engines are rated for 50:1 before being transformed into bike engines. Homelite has carbs adjusted lean so they dont run as good as they do after they are built into bike kits. Bumblebee adjust the carb out so they can run at peak performance..warranty theres only a 90 day manufactors warranty..i had it longer than that..I asked why such a sort warranty and they said theres nothing to warranty nothing break its just engine and drive wheel theres no other parts to break and they told me that if the engine blows and its not from me running lean gas they would replace it for free as long as its under a year old. you just have to ask them about it. They are in the process of putting that on there website from what i have been told by my buddy.
