Kinetic Quad
New Member
Hi Y'all,
Beautiful winter day here in Arcata, CA. Building a Kinetic/Electric Quad. Basically, a bicycle gear train powers a jack shaft. A 750 watt, 36 volt electric motor also powers the jack shaft. The jacks shaft powers the rear axle (with differential). Built from scratch in the Kinetic Lab, in Arcata. Associated with the Humboldt Kinetic Grand Championship. It's a 3 day race over pavement, sand, water and mud, on Memorial Day weekend. Lots of fun. SS
