I was riding along today , all of a sudden I felt something hit me real hard in the back of my helmet .
It hit so hard I all most wrecked, I even had to pull over for a few minutes to clear my head.

Once it did I turned around and went back to see what the he!! hit me.
All I could find was a lug nut and the stud from an 18 wheeler, that passed me going the other way.

Got to say it's the first time i have ever had a helmet save me. Hope it's the last time .
Check it out , now I have to buy another helmet

Very lucky for the helmet indeed. (Can't quite see the damage on the helmet in the picture though.)

I once saw a huge fist size rock get flung out of a truck wheel straight into the front of the van I was in. It left a huge dent! A little higher and it would have smashed the window and hit me...

I took several pictures this was the best I even tried to zoom in on the dent but just could not see it just a blur
I thanks it's the color of the helmet
I just looked down to see how fast I was going and wham it hit me.

Oh wow now I see it. That's a seriously big dent, no wonder you had to stop and collect yourself after getting hit.

so true Anton

Oh wow now I see it. That's a seriously big dent, no wonder you had to stop and collect yourself after getting hit.

I got a huge knot back there now ,and that's with a motorcycle helmet on. Would of hate to seen the knot with out one.
I would of never dreamed a helmet would of protected me in that way.
It tough me a valuable lesson , I will never ever ride with out the face shield down again , it could of hit me from the front.

If I was not wearing my helmet it would of knock me out cold, if not of hospitalized and or killed me .
As I always said helmet's saves lives, and really bad headaches LOL:D:devilish:

O by the way thanks for changing my settings:bowdown::giggle::bowdown:

Yes they sure do. Unfortunately not everyone follows your advice; the other day I saw a motorized biker riding without a helmet and on the footpath too.

O by the way thanks for changing my settings:bowdown::giggle::bowdown:

Pictures should now show up for everyone inline. I only just realized the default setting when new members sign up was set to only display links. It's more of a setting used if you are still on dial up internet.

that's a big dent . Thank goodness Sam has such a hard head.
:giggle::D:whistle::whistle::devilish:

I was over Sam's house today and the lump is slowly going a way, so glad he was not heart.
He is such a good king person. And a good friend

they have saved me once.... i was on my normal pushie (malvern star) a new one at that i was about to race my mate across the lights (on the footpath) and my foot slipped off the bear grip pedals and i want down ass first somehow and my ass anchored and whipped my head into the ground... i came out with scratches and bruises but would have atleast been a spit head i believe i was concussed with my helmet on (i did not bother to go to hospital)

but then again i have come off a three wheeler doin 40+ kph and not gone to hospital so..... i guess im either stupid or a hard ass lol... ( i did cover all my tendons with antiseptic and almost passed out from the pain)
