Whats My Bike Worth?

2012 Schwinn Del Mar, Steel frame.
2012 (?) HS 49cc 4 stroke.
2012 EZM Qmatic belt Drive.
Includes; replica Phantom rack.
Battery, 12 volt bottle generator.
Turn Signals, not installed.
Fenders and tail lamp.

Sad reality is it's only worth what someone is willing to pay. From experience if your bike is priced say $500 or more it's really hard to sell no matter how much is in it. If it's priced in the 3ish range it will sell easily. I know you probably have $800 or so into it, people don't care and really don't know..........good luck! Nice bike.

Add up all the money you spent on parts and add on whatever for labor.

Are you selling it?I looked into building/selling rackmounts as a business.I soon learned people look at the negative stuff and instantly go to, "it doesn't go that fast, doesn't look sturdy, why not get a scooter for that cost".So unless they are "smart" and looking at the positives, it's a bike to them and why the hell am I asking $1000 for a bike??!
If selling, you may get more parting it (bike/engine/drive/accessories) sadly.For a number, though I wouldn't expect to sell, I'd say $750-$800.

Thanks everyone! I would like to sell it. When you add up all the parts including nuts, bolts, accessories...... I think I hit the $1,100 mark. Cant really add labor, paint, sand paper, and tools to a selling price though. My problem is storage. If I move into an apartment with no garage it will end up being a target to worry about, and I don't want to store things here or there. Then its costing money, or taking up someones else's garage space.

The truth;
What is someone willing to pay for something, or how long can you wait to get the price you want.

My suggestion, pull the engine kit and all the goodies, winterize and box it up.Sell the bike and keep the stuff for the future.You live in SoCal, metal and gas are only going to go up and I have a feeling you'll regret selling the kit, as you'll not get your investment back, until gas is unreasonable.

That's probably the best advice. I'll just keep going for it. There's things I want to develop/design. I'll probably be thinking about a charging system for MAB's until I'm to old to think.

I have a friend, who lives in Madrid, NM. I've toyed with a trike build for him. Nothing fast, but with knobby's, and a HF. Start a gang, lol.

its pretty nice man....well done. brakes and wheels are worth nothing but the rest of the bike is very nice. i really think u did a great job and im picky picky.......give me a few dozen macro photos and i could say for sure.
new or used engine? 500-600 if the motor is new.

I bought the bike, and kit last year around August/September. I think 500 or 600 is about top dollar anyone would be willing to pay for most MAB's.
