I think I remember reading somewhere that a Whizzer that uses an autoclutch cannot also use a coaster rear brake? Or is it a manual clutch bike cannot use a drum brake? I'm not sure either statement makes any sense, or why either would be true? Maybe something to do with starting the bike?

Ultimately, I'm wondering what the consequence would be of either:

A) converting my auto new Whizzer to manual clutch
B) converting the rear wheel of my autoclutch Whizzer to coaster brake

All 7 of my bikes have coaster brakes. I wouldn't get rid of the auto clutch if I was you.

Thanks JB. So you have coaster brake and autoclutch on one or more of your bikes? That's good to know. I have a band rear brake on mine, and since I am planning a wheel swap (and the band brake shell is rusted), I'm eyeing my options. I suppose I would lose the rear brake switch (for the brake light) if I switch to coaster brake?

my whizzer has a brake switch on the front brake lever too from the factory. I figure that's good enough. I use Shimano coaster brake hubs on my newer bikes.
Here's one on ebay:
