Found this while tearing down for some major frame mods to the recumbent. From the size of the hole it looks like it's been wiggling and wallowing back and forth for a while, I could easily put the tip of the needlenose pliers and get the object.Resembles a piece of the outer ring to a womans watch.
ZERO PRESSURE LOSS.

very impressive tire by the looks of the damage inflicted upon it. have seen so many positive testimonials throughout the years that I will have to try one for my next tire replacement. thx for the picture.

No question about it, the Schwalbe Marathon range are seriously good tyres, with impressive puncture resistance.

I really like the tyre profile of the Schwalbe Marathon Tour Plus:

I'll probably start off with a Marathon Plus Tour 26" x 2.0"

The Marathon Tour Plus is my No 1 choice in the Schwalbe range, but i wished they made that style of tyre in a 26" x 2.25" with a taller sidewall, so you could run it at low pressure for better shock absorption qualities, for an even more comfortable ride.

That said, the 26" x 2.0" is still a brilliant puncture resistant tyre with a desirable all-round tread pattern

You should bombard them with emails and posts on their facebook page! :D

I'd rather have proper slicks with the same level of puncture protection, personally.. but these will do for now because they're on special offer at Wiggle.co.uk, £25 each. Also they will have advantages for me, at times- should be reasonably good if I hit a patch of sand, or if I need to do a little "off-roading". :)
I just hope they're still on offer when I'm able to pay for them.. which hopefully won't be very long now. :)
