Has the GEBE clone arrived yet?

Looked around but can't find any info, site where it was mentioned eludes me it was awhile back where I saw info on it.

OP try http://roadbugmotors.com/, or thatsdax.com, or staton.com. Those are quality kits and will give you problem free riding for 1000s of miles. The clones have issues with bent drive spindles, bearings and mounting holes not being centered correctly. Couple extra $s will save you in the long run.

GEBE> Excellent Worth the Extras..Cause they Go the Extra Mile.seriously.

+1 (I have been absent from class for a few months or years.)

Pics of GEBE small Tanaka rig I cobbled years ago (08or9)...trouble free since...goes...only change is one set of tires, lot of up hill runs. Only complaint is I have to fight urge to go fast (it is a bicycle, after all) and it is a bit noisy.

Never owned a GEBE but admired the great reviews it receives from users. Always wondered what one with a HS142F would drive like, would need a HD rear wheel.

That's why God invented 4 strokes.

Darwin...I went with 4 stroke at first (GEBE with Honda) Loved it, but it did not have the torque to lift me and bike up the half mile rise to house, from town...I would guess 4 - 6 % grade...

So after reading threads here, I decided to try the small Tanaka, (light/small).

The little bugger did it without much coaxing, though I do sort of peddle, if I feel it might be slipping, but not much.

Here is pic of that first one...loved it but needed a bit more juice and had to deal with more noise too.

The only other complaint with that rig was the lack of front brake...not a biggie, but one reason I switched to the crank-forward Raleigh bike, and the price was right.

No complaints really now, as long as I do not get going too fast...motor has enough juice to get to 40, which is way too fast for bicycle, IMHO.

I kind of like to ride bike in town with belt on and motor off, and lean back to flip the tension lever to kick in the engine...

Thing with GEBE is simplicity and reliability. Still using same gear, belt and ring. Plus the fact I probably only put on 100 miles yearly.

Maybe I should sell the kit and go electric?

No! Just no! My 4 HP 29cc GEBE custom snapped spokes. I don't even want to think of what'll happen when u hit the throttle on a high torque 4 stroke. I think All the spokes will snap or pull out of the hoop and the frame will hit the ground!
