The compact Kelly controller should just fit under the battery pack.
The Kelly is programmable via a serial port connection direct or with a USB to Serial cable which is what I use, and their free programing software to set a bunch of controller parameters.

*** SPECIAL NOTICE ***

Paul the 'cellman' is the maker of the packs and in Hong Kong.
In order to get any kind of deal on the battery packs and chargers I am buying 3 of each.
After currency conversion, electronic payment and shipping the battery/charger combos come out to just under $830 each delivered to me in Phoenix, AZ.

I have a pending order (quote) for a similar build but on a far less expensive mountain bike which will leave me with one leftover combo.

I am willing to part with it for cost to the first person that puts a $450 deposit in my PayPal account so I still have some working capitol for another build or two until the parts get here.

It takes 3-4 weeks for the packs to get here after my full payment.
When they arrive you can pay the ballance of my wholesale cost to get them to the US and then shipped to you.
Depending on where you are in the US about $400-$410 balance max delivered combo in a couple of days for under $860.
Or, I'll cheerfully refund your $450 deposit and the remaining pack will sell for $985 + delivery.

If that sounds steep run the battery and charger on EM3ev all the way to making a payment including bank transfer and currency conversion charges if you have all the cash.
For some real giggles and grins see what it costs via PayPal to try to run it on a credit card!

*** SPECIAL NOTE TO SYSOPS ***
Please note the reference to sell something in this new build is not a direct solicitation, if and when I have a leftover battery/charger combo for sale I will post in the appropriate forum as something I actually have in my hands for sale.

All I am doing is giving one lucky guy salivating over turning his cool mountain bike into an electric shifting monster with a sort of lay away plan for the most expensive part, the battery.

Great stuff. Thanks for carrying this off and carrying the weight on this one. You are the MAN!!
Thanks Paul, it came out OK I think ;-}

I am just waiting for the paint to dry for the motors chain guard and I still need to do something with the front hydraulic brake line and a couple other touch-ups, but otherwise she's done and a blast to ride ;-}

Notes:
Some 3/4" slit black plastic wire harness is you friend as is really long zip ties to bundle up all the wires.

SBP Paul, the left side sealed bearing cartridge holder needs to be much longer, it took 2 on this build to make it sturdy.

EM3ev Paul, nice battery pack, it seems to be doing the job great so far in our limited test today, it's just the battery output and bag could use some improvements.

It took some careful cutting of Velcro straps and wire soldering to get to where the bike sits now, and the zipper on the corner of the bag was a nightmare.

BUT... overall a killer combination of parts to adapt with other parts into a pretty slick machine ;-}

Great looking bike. Are you planning to put a speedometer on so we can know what kind of speed its reaching?
Yes, an old school analog speedometer with odometer so we can see how fast and how far it can go on a charge.

That looks real fun to ride and very clean, nice job tucking everything away.

30 lbs before being motorized and now it weighs?

We supply the spacers and if you have a 73mm BB shell we sell the extra bearing. Your point is well taken, people need to know there obviously must be enough exposed threads to get a good grip.

Wow, That really looks like a factory built e-bike in terms of fit. All the weight is in the middle for good handling.

I had the opportunity to ride one of the high end Specialized mountain bikes with the Brain Shock at a demo day held in the South Mountain Park. The Brain Shock worked so well that it felt like I was cheating. No bobbing under hard pedaling. I miss living in AZ.

South Mountain is the other side of town from me, I live at the SW base of North Mountain (Sunnyslope) so we ride that.

That 9-speed chain wouldn't hold up.
I swapped out the 9 sprocket cluster for a wider spaced 7-speed and running 5-speed (Z33) chain and it has has held up well.

I guess that means I'll have to let the customer take possession of it now.

That's OK, got a brand new Fat Tire 2-stroke shifter done and for sale and a MotoPed dirt bike motorcycle with pedals in the Build Bay to play with before I get to putting another electric system just like this build together with parts on hand, maybe in another Fat Tire ;-}

KC - I have ridden Trail 101 a lot in the North Mountains. I usually started at Dreamy Draw.
I did start from the Scottsdale side a few times, off Tatum. It was shadier.
