Hi Guys! I have been referencing this forum, and I thought I may as well make a build thread on here. I am ordering the parts tomorrow, but this is what I am going with:

  1. Huffy 26" Mens Fresno Cruiser - 7 Speed - Red
  2. 80cc Engine Kit Motorized Bicycle W/ Carburetor Coil Cable Tank Chain Petcock
  3. A Dual Pull Brake Lever

I plan on setting it up with the 44T gear, and later on moving to a jackshaft. I am aiming for around 40mph, but after upgrades such as expansion chamber exhaust, racing CDI + spark plug, etc.

I have basic 2-stroke oil that I use for snowblowing, would that be sufficient for the 300 mile break in period? I plan on switching to Royal Purple synthetic after 300 miles.

Well, just wanted to introduce myself.

Talk to you guys later!

(feel free to move if placed in the incorrect section)

Bike got here today, and I put it together. Upon first impressions, the wheels are crap. I am going to go have them trued at a local bike shop, and possibly upgrade to discs.

My double brake lever, helmet, and speedo will get here tomorrow.

disks are hard to do on the rear where there will be 2 chains - a 7-speed *should* have v-brakes that work very well if you get high speed pads for them

I figured out that I would need to get new wheels, and so I decided against discs. I haven't tested the V-brakes yet, but once I get the front wheel trued, I hope it works.
