Hello All

Just wanted to share a bad experience with purchasing or should I say attempting to purchase a boost bottle system from boostinductionsystems. I ordered a kit for my 49cc from these guys off of eBay and when it arrived I was disapointed to discover the manifold they supplied was far too small to fit my motor. I made several attempts to contact them and did not get any reply until I filed a claim through paypal. They offered to send out a larger manifold and I assumed case closed and that I'd be on my merry way. As soon as I'd closed the case all communication from boost stopped and gee whiz, no replacement manifold ever arrived. I have attempted via several emails, none of which they have bothered to reply to to resolve this seemingly simple problem. Given the complete lack of customer service and support added to the simple fact that these systems (from further online research) really don't improve performance at all, I'd really strongly advise anyone considering buying one of these from boostinduction systems save their money and time and use it for a proven product that has customer support. Or if you really want to donate $60.00 just mail it to me and I will dontate it to a charity in your name. ;-)

So I gather, their claims seem a little extreme to say the least. I was looking to improve the lower end, but overall the little 49cc seems to run pretty well on it's own. I feel bad about throwing away $60.00 odd bucks and the fact these people are continuing to rip others off. I felt it only right to put my story out there and hope it will save others from making the mistake of dealing with these guys.

The only possible benefit a boost bottle has is that it can look kind of cool to those who aren't "in the know" when mounted properly. But then again, so do stickers. And unlike boost bottles, the right kind of stickers can yield substantial power gains:rolleyes:

Yes I'd have been better off investing in a few good stickers rather then giving good money to these clowns. Proof that their product sucks is on the way they have no customer service nor support for their bogus product. I wish I'd been aware of this before as forewarned is forearmed. Now all I need to improve performance is some good quality racing wax.

I am not suicidal in the least so the humble 49cc is fine for me on our cities roads. And anything over 49cc or cabable of over 20mph is no longer considered a motor bicycle under our legislation but falls under either a moped or motorcycle so would now require licencing, insurance, minimum equipment, and registration, in which case one might simply buy a motorcycle. The local authorities are really not sure WFT my motor bicycle is as there are very few around on our roads and tend to just smile, wave and leave me alone. By adding power and the tendency to drive faster I'd only be asking for unwanted attention from law enforcement. I was really just looking for smoother low end performance and to help extend the life of my little motor as I may not be able to find a replacement if it fails.

You at very least need a 66cc top end, and then bolt on a Rock Solid Engines reed valve intake.
These two modifications will noticeably boost low rpm torque.

Optimising the air/fuel ratio will also help.
