I am a bit disappointed with this build...
I wanted to try to make the top bar a gas tank, I couldn't get the right side chain guard to fit, the exhaust should curve up closer to the frame, and I haven't found a straight plug cable end but here she is.

What ya think?
Call it good and move on , or dink with the last details?

Hmmm. Looks tough to make a fuel tank with that top tube.
Did that model of Fito come equipped with the triple tree fork and bobbed fenders?

That's a good looking bike, I do love the chrome and black look of it.

But to me the gas tank takes away from the beauty of the frame, seems like a cylindrical tank behind the seat would be a better option (in my humble opinion).

I just received my Skyhawk GT-2 frame, and I am going for a similar look with aluminum and black.

Yes, the Fito Molina comes with the triple tree, fenders, 7-speed, 3" Kenda Flame tires and dual disc brakes $350 delivered.

66cc gasbike 2-stroke with CNC high compression head and sick bike parts jackshaft and front mount.
I was able to re-use the black leather padded grips as well.
Also note the ignition wiring and keylock ignition switch ;-}

I agree, a tank like I used on this Cadillac would have worked for an extra $100...

But I wanted to make the tube a tank, the problem is the smallest aluminum filler neck and venting cap I could find was 2" wide...

The tube just isn't wide enough.

That's OK, it's still a nice looking bike that hauls ass ;-}

bring a machine shop some 1 inch tubing and some 1.5 inch rod and tell them to put the two together. It'll take about 10 minutes of lathe work to turn down part of the 1.5 inch rod to fit inside the tubing and thread the whole deal and another 5 if you want them to knurl the cap.

They'll probably give the work to a trainee and won't charge you more than $40

I have been considering a Fito for a build. Have you been able to break this in and see what kind of speeds it will do? Looks really nice.

It would be pointless to do if a gas station nozzle won't fit the hole.
Besides, I have no tig welder nor the skills to weld very well, certainly not well enough to lay a perfect bead on the top for everyone to see.

I was just going to take the bare frame to the welding shop around the corner but they took a long holiday and parts came in so it got built.

It's not broken in but even with just an NT carb and standard exhaust it does over 35 without much of sweat due in part to that high compression head I suppose, but then again most all of my 2-stroke will do at least that and usually more.

Here is one last pic since I bent the pipe up a bit.

I put it up on Craigs list for $875 which is pretty good considering the parts were $750.

Not sure how well a gas station nozzle would work but you might be able to use a filler tube and cap from an aluminum automobile coolant expansion tank or an oil tank for a motorcycle.

But I never really paid attention to the gas station nozzles.

To use the wider filler tube, you would need to split open the top of the frame, spread it apart and weld in a filler strip wide enough. At that point the $99 Skyhawk GT-2 frame would be a lot easier and cheaper.

And speaking of cheap, KC you shouldn't put any of your builds up for less than a Grand ($1,000)...you do nice work and if people can't see the quality you put in your builds, they don't deserve your bikes!
