Where about in CA are you?

If you are near Orange County I would sell you one.

there are some, but they sell with top end taken apart so the customer must than put it back together

not a big deal if you're comfortable with these motors

I was going to get another 66cc/80cc 2 stroke kit to be cheap but decided to splurge a little and go with a Grubee 4 stroke 4G kit. Glad I did. It's not even on the bike yet and I can tell it's an awesome motor and transmission. Only payed $322.98 for it. It's also 2014 EPA approved and more than likely CARB approved otherwise it probably wouldn't have been able/legal to ship to California.

Its a 49cc but from the YouTube videos it looks like it has great power for it's size and there's always cheap & easy mods to make it go faster.

Last I looked the last website to sell 2 stroke kits to California (gasbike.net) made it so us Californians can't place an order for one.

Your assumption that a Huasheng 50 cc is CARB approved is incorrect.

Only a Honda GXH 50 is CARB and it has the sticker on it to prove it.

thanks for all the replies, right now i live in oxnard, soon to be frazier park. i wanted to get the motor kit to ride around the forest trails to go camping whenever i wanted! would have made it as silent as possable first. in still going back and forth betweeen the motor kit or a better self defence weapon against active mountain lions and bears which might take priority. i know its rear to see them but i have seen them multiple time while out hiking. i could get a snub nose .357 (for light weight carry yet still have a lot of power) for the same price of a realy nice motor and extras to make it as near silent as possable.

Isn't the HS 142 a direct clone of the GXH? That should make it as CARB qualified as the Honda motors. Problem is HS doesn't seem to want to fork up the extra dough for a CARB certification on most of their motors.

I hate how cautious California is being with emissions. Makes it harder to get certain motors. Having a few of these motorized bikes on the road isn't nearly as bad as how many cars are out there leaving a 10 times larger carbon footprint than any MB kit currently made.

Metal call up thatsdax.com and ask some ?s. 303-459-2780
