Hellos everyone.so I've finally decided to get a second motorized bike built since my last one in California.ive donated away to go traveling by air cross country.Didnt have much to work with but I brought a cheapo Huffy Cranbrook with a 4 stroke Hua Sheng ,eventually everything will be upgraded.Im here to learn .also my last build was on a hybrid bike with a 2 stroke.after doing some research which lead to my decision to buying a 4 stroke kit

Welcome to the forum! 4strokers don't need to add lube to our gojo unlike 2strokers.

Nothing love ya long time like a Huasheng! Just keep the carb happy, adjust valves, and the oil change every 3-6 months!

I have almost 10K miles on mine and I know a couple people with much more than that. These are keyed shaft HS I'm talkin bout tho.

So far I'm still in the process of breaking it in.Havent had much time riding it.Cause I'm riding it illegally and also because the chain tensioner isn't doing its part. Its slipping down the frame losing tension on the chain,so once tension is lost completely the engine shuts off.So far the huasheng is my favorite engine for being a China make 4 stroke

I am a fan of HS 142 engines as well, got a 144 (54cc) coming soon to see if I can feel any difference 5cc makes.

The first thing you are going to want to do that Cranbrook is rebuild the back wheel before it fails.

KC care to share where one can get a 54cc HS? Link would be nice, is it the new dax motor?

This Cranbrook actually taught me a lot about the inner bicycle mechanics,so I'm glad I started off with it.I had spent roughly 3 days fighting with the rear wheel because my axle got stripped .I'm really not a big fan of coaster brakes .so I disabled the coaster brakes ,taking out the brake shoes in the hub and also Making it freewheel.Relying only on the front clamp brakes which looks pretty worn by now and wasn't enough with combination of using my feet ,so I put the coaster brakes back in.and seeing the damage my spokes took from all the hammering I've been doing I have to buy a new rear wheel or both front and back..can't really decide .Heavy duty steel or alloy rim or even a mag alloy rim.

Also I'm not really sure if this 49 cc engine will be able to take the abuse I'll be putting it through unlike the 60cc 80 cc 2 stroke I've had before this .
On my long journey I'll be taking my two dogs with me one is still a pup and growing.the other is full grown.ill be buying a pull behind trailer but maybe also looking forward to buying either a tricycle or a tri conversion kit with a big enough area to put a box in that could handle the weight

I also see on your site KC that you have made a mount for a predator 79cc? 4 stroke engine and did a few ccustomization on it.are you selling any alone or have a link to a good seller?I've been most likely dealing with bike berry for all my Mb needs and they've Ben pretty good so far just lack a few things here and there

Yeah, that's the HS with the little genny. Those puppies are _wide_ on the flywheel side! Those engines are also integral clutch.

With a 4G bolted to it it''ll be 11½, close to 12" wide. Comparison: my keyed shaft HS with Honda-style 4G is 9½" wide exactly.

As if I'm already having problems with how this is mounted to the frame .it barely clears the peddle arm.thinking of trying to bend the crank arm some or file the peddle down to clear it with no problem
