Thanks for that info. I did look it up and that pretty much settles the issue. No need to pursue this any further. Is be wasting time money and effort! It shouldn't matter if someone wanted to put a 1000hp engine on a bicycle, and ride it in the bike lane, or on the sidewalk! It's still legally, by definition, a bicycle! But thanks again.

Dear willwills90. Just left our local large bike shop, and got some answers regarding the different "options" available for the Sun Baja Cruz, aka Crusher. The "chrome" one that KC shows is not, as I expected, chrome, but silver paint. And even if I still wanted to get it, I would want it with the blue or red rims, which I found out you cannot do, or even if you try to order them as a separate unit from Sun. So that further puts the Kibosh, on the whole idea of buying a bicycle. The whole original purpose for deciding to get a bike is, I work as a security officer and I have to check 16 different points on my shift per hour. It take a good 30-45 minutes to do so. I then only have about 20 minutes to "rest" in one of the air conditioned buildings. Which I'm really not supposed to do. They, the company and customer/client, want a ''visible presence" at all times. And our weather has been in the 90's the past 3 days. It's currently 91!! Our uniforms are black polyester, which is always so "nice and cool!!" Did you note the sarcasm? Last night at 11pm it was 84!! I know it's not like Arizona weather, but ours is worse because of the humidity. I was in Phoenix, Chandler, and Mesa, in 1995, and it was 104, and didn't feel as uncomfortable as our 80 degree days and nights. Anyway, again, thanks for caring.

Welcome from Jacksonville!! I hope you can work something out so you can use the m/b on your job. If you are on private property, you should be ok as long as the company approves of the m/b for your job.

You can still ride and electric bikes with no legal woes in Fl...as long as the motor is not over 750watts....I sell them for $895. complete & ready to ride
