does a standard 2 stroke 80cc engine kit have a transmission? if not theres a huge loop hole in california with the motorized bicycles.

The Happy Time 2 stroke has a simple clutch mechanism. One gear. No transmission.

NICE!! then it can not be regesteredas a motorized bicycle in california!!! for it to be regestered as such it HAS to have a transmission according to the DMV.

can you post the full letter of that law? in most states that have such a rule, a manual clutch is legally a transmission.

If you can't register as a motorized bike in CA then you are just illegal like a pit bike or a minibke or any other non DOT 2 wheeler.

This is a loophole for idiots.

The cops in Newport beach, Huntington Beach, etc will laugh at you while writing tickets.

And isn't the State of California really tough on the 2 stroke engine?
Cops do not enforce CARB laws so what the State of California feels about 2 stroke engines isn't a problem riding a 2 stroke on the streets.

Just put a .049 balsa airplane motor on your handle bar and a pump sprayer on your bike rack and register it as an AG vehicle since they don't have to licensed or tagged!

let those beach cops write other people tickets lol im not useing a beach cruser for my bike and im not going to use it anywhere near the beach. just in the mountains where the extra power will help going up some stupid hills for some sweet views, foot assisted of course.
