I have a ghost racer 7g 4-stroke on a Metreon 700c cruiser bike (only frame I could find that would fit the engine) http://www.wayfair.com/Mens-700C-Metreon-Commuter-Road-Bike-8205-07DTJ-DYNR1080.html? My problem is there is no front brake (and it does not look like I can get one) and no type of suspension on it. What frames are out there that can accept a 49cc 4 stroke and have at least a front brake (disc preferred or later option) and a front suspension. I have a 44t manic mechanic type hub drive and with my (fat-ish) 250 lbs I am hitting 26mph on flat ground. A little more mid range power would be fun, as well...thanks

I went to used bike store & got a front fork with v-brake posts for $15.

Definitely an odd design. 3 speed with derailleur? No front brake? WTF?

Anyway, the frame appears to take 1 1/8" threadless forks, so you're in luck there. Most decent suspension forks are 1 1/8" threadless.

Craigslist, garage sale hunts, you shouldn't have too much trouble finding an inexpensive fork with V-brakes. If you want a new one:

brakes: http://www.amazon.com/Promax-360859-V-Brake-Set-Black/dp/B007Y5GDZK/ (2 sets with matching levers)
cable: http://www.amazon.com/Jagwire-Basics-Lined-Housing-Assembly/dp/B001CJYXKQ/

All told, it's a bit expensive, but should be worth it. if you just want a standard fork:

Hope this helps!

that's the nice thing about used bike shop, you can walk in with forks in hand to compare

The $230 largest size 26" Micargi Pantera 7S with front and rear V brakes will just fit an HS 49cc system with a little work like cutting the choke lever down and lowering your chain guard.

For ~$85 more you can put a shock front fork with V-brake bosses that will take your forks brake arms.

No kidding...

Does that use 7-speed chain, or is it wide enough for #410 chain.

That might make for a nice low cost jack shafted shifter.
