For me, I recently switched to a 36T sprocket on my regular head (not high performance) 2-stroke 66cc engine. I am a bit under my desired speeds (24 cruise) and will look to fix or add some mods.

Cruise: 27-29
Top: 35+

And, you? :helmet:

I think acceleration and ability to climb hills is just as important as top speed

77.1kmh. 26inc wheel with 36 tooth sprocket stock head and carby got one more 20inc wheels 28 tooth sprocket 68.kmh you just push off with one big one and off it goes up hills not bad but it's for top speed not acceleration my daily ride has 20inc wheels and a 36 tooth sprocket no peddling to take off and hits 60kmh up to how you like it really

77kph=48mph
60kph=37mph

skyash, what crap! a stock Grubee won't go no 48mph, no freakin' way.

Obviously you didn't take the time to calibrate your speedometer.

No joke did once and never did it again I was in a 70 zone and past a truck then keept going. Started on a 2 block hill and flatens off to a long flat run for a 1 km did it the hole way after modifieding new motors to go that fast can't do it maybe right day fuel and that's what I got no bull

Is a Chinese $100 motor a grubee ? I have seen lot of lebo kids around here do 60 kmh all day long and that's 26inc wheel with 44 tooth sprocket so put a 36 tooth on and 5 kmh more so 65/70 kmh I work on a bike all week and the kids laugh at me when thay go faster all that work and a new stock motor go's better it's just luck all the motors are bad. try pulling out behind a car or truck and see if you can get pulled by the air flow stay just off the bumper it's like nos. Or find a big hill and when you are scared keep going blow that motor up if it comes to it.

my god man, you went downhill for 2 blocks and don't think that was cheating?!!! WTF?

no such thing as fast enough, my fully ported reed valve bike does 50-55 depending on atmospheric conditions and wind. some of the Miami guys claim to go faster but those bikes are geared so wonky they don't accelerate for ****, my bike runs about like a stock motor on the low end but then never stops accelerating, gets on the pipe a hair shy of 40 and hauls ass until it hits top rpm.

I've done 65 with different gearing, but I don't like pedaling that much and lately its been throwing the pedal chain whenever I romp it too hard

There's no cheating I know of I don't care how I get there. Just don't get caught. So whats the real go if you can do 50/60 kmh on flat ground put a better carby /muffler /head/jug/cdi/spark plug /light piston... And how fast can you go each claim more power and speed. On you tube some bikes done up don't look fast. I have asked lots of people how fast thay go and each has a different answer. I have driven past one man on a stock motor and my car speedo says 58kmh next to him looked like 26inc with 44 tooth . one kid says 60 kmh when I rode it lucky to do 20 kmh the lebo kids test next to mate's in cars. 20 Inc wheel 28 tooth sprocket 65 kmh all day it was my mate's we built it STOCK AS rock except the sprocket then sold it to the kid he come back and told us it does 65 kmh we new that already lol. YOU CAN NEVER GO FAST ENOUGH.
