I bought myself a jackshaft kit and installed it had no issues it works except the chains on the right hand side rubbing when i shift past 3rd gear and as you could imagine caused some serious s***. I have a new chain but i fear its gunna snap this one to. Did i do something wrong or forget something like these black plastic peices or is this what im stuck with?

What kit do you have? Properly tensioned chains with our kit should not touch.

Iv got a sbp kit 3 weeks ago. Its only when i shift past 3rd so i just got a 7 speed hub and im using a 8 tooth in place of the right side 10 tooth
1st=5 mph 7th=38 mph

8 tooth? It will get chewed up fast (is it hardened?) and hard on the chain. Is that chain really tight? And your bike chain, did you remove some links and tighten it up?

Hardened=yes
hard on chain=possibly no stress noticed yet (i ride in mountain bike trails on cape cod. ma. So im very abusive (time will tell)
Chain=not tight but not loose

When it had the derailer ya i shortened it but now i got 7 speed internal gear hub so i just silde my tire back untill chains tight enough

Jackshaft chain should be pretty darn tight. I'm guessing your bike geometry is adding to the problem. Please take several pictures, sharp, close up and some showing the best views of the chains, chainrings and assembly and send them to pablo AT(@) sickbikeparts.com. Thanks.

Itss alll good my friend the sbp kit did what i wanted plus some. all i need is those tensioners for my engine chain and jack shaft chain

OK, if you want you can add a small washer next to each spacer nut, it shouldn't take much. Thanks!!!

I would check the installation of the chainrings to the freewheel. It is the most common mistake people make and is usually the cause of the chains being too close together and touching.

I used ALL parts included its not rocket science if ur in 1st with a derailer cassette setup everytime you shift up a gear the chain moves toward the outter sprocket so in 4-5-6-7-8 gear the chain touches the other chain and im not putting more washers in between those sprockets because the place in which the sprockets seat on has limited space and i dont want my inner sprocket off that 1456690491468-23699438.jpg 1456690547609-83593974.jpg 14566905839291304025260.jpg 1456690610929192429809.jpg 1456690686753781479843.jpg 1456690491468-23699438.jpg 1456690547609-83593974.jpg 14566905839291304025260.jpg 1456690610929192429809.jpg 1456690686753781479843.jpg
