Question on hf79 jacks haft

That is a transfer case, though chain drive it looks like you can adjust chain tension by moving the case not much in gear reduction.
Now what do mean my jackshafting?
Transferring the power to the right to use bikes gears?

The harbor freight 79cc predator engine is a bit wide, so the use of this device would move the chain over for a more suitable chain alignment. Also with the use of clutch gear, input gear, output gear, and rear wheel gear, the gearing ratio can be controlled and manipulated to better suit the the motors rpm range and give you the ability to adjust speed preference.

Yes, a simple transfer case for direct left side drive.
Around here we refer to Jackshafting as highjacking the left side output with a shaft to move the output to the right and connect it through your pedal cranks so can use your back wheels gears with your engine.

I don't know about jackshafting a 79cc or larger, you would need a good internal shifting hub and HD #410 single speed chain, heck disc brakes...

But, gears do change everything ;-}
