Bike won't start

6mm x 1.0 thread

be sure motor sits tight in frame before tightening nuts - pulling harder on the studs won't stretch the motor to fit

Thanks the people on here are the best!!!
I bought overly long threaded rods and although they seemed odd i just copied what was on the other bike.

I called the guy today and he said to use shorter threaded rods. I think i will just use bolts instead that are high grade.

putting a bolt into a blind hole rather than a stud is just asking for trouble - use the threaded rod & cut it to fit

Ouch, the hardware store that's close to me as i live in the middle of nowhere has threaded rods but they are no good they bent and broke within less then a eighth of a mile. I have one threaded rod that came with the other bike. The Allen head bolts are 8.8 strength

I was going to get a Allen head bolt and match the thread length to get a good idea as far as what size bolt i need.

I will look for a stronger threaded rod while I'm there though. I'm about ten minutes away from the store now.

something is seriously wrong with the way you're mounting to break that many studs

I had a old schwinn bike and i have probably rode it like a maniac for 400 miles. I swapped the motor onto a new bike a huffy Nel lusso bike. The threaded rods i bought to replace them were very weak. I know face palm lol.

I went back to the hardware store and got automotive grade Allen head bolts as they only had the weak threaded rod. I took it on a test ride about 7 miles and it ran and rode like a champ!!!

About to do a 8 mile ride to my work, tools and extra bolts too lol

Rode to work just fine but on the way back the front motor mount the ones with the u bolt got loose and started sliding around...
If anyone knows where or how to mount the front of the motor so it doesn't slide around that would be great! The bolts i bought didn't loosen at all it's just the motor slides to the chain side...

I hade 1 motor that keepet pulling over to the left so I did the right nut up frist pretty much all the way. Then the left. I have seen brakets from right side cover to frame.

That's with no u bolt
