mmmm, heavy duty metal...

how appealing!

who wants to buy factory seconds? or even thirds, perhaps?

not I!

Ah I got it. Mm nice looks better than the one I got, because it has no thick black paint slopped all over it. ;)
I'd like a rose3236A "Big Sun Motor" Cheaper than the cheapest UK eBay engine at £65.. but the £109 shipping kills it. :(

I just bought a pull start from that seller. ROSE326A. One of the few sellers that actually have the rope pulls not the cable. The rope is much smoother and doesn't bind like the cable. I didn't see any engines listed in their items but maybe the UK, USA platforms are different? International shipping is never cheap. Luckily for US sellers there is the global shipping program. This is good for sellers but doesn't cost international buyers any less unfortunately.

You can get a whole kit with carb, exhaust and everything to get it running for about $30 more. Never have too many parts.

I have a pull starter with a rope and ti lasted about two pulls. The little part that holds the spring in the cover broke. Very poor casting and the part that holds the spring is too weak.

Yep I had one just recently that broke in the exact same way.I mounted it on my new build, pulled it a few times and it broke. Seller refunded money. The one I have been usin for at least 4 or 5 months on my other bike is holdin up great. The rope is gettin frayed but replacing the rope is simple. I have another thread on a flaw that almost all these come with. There are two types. One is all metal and the other has a plastic spool that holds the rope. I avoided the ones with plastic. The metal ones require some modification to operate correctly. But if that little nub breaks like you pictured in your post its game over.
