I don't like a thumb throttle as it feels weird - I don't like a dual lever because if bike falls off kickstand, one lever may break on the side that hits ground, but this should still leave you with one lever to get home with.

It all depends on what you grew up operating I think.
Most things like jet skis, snow mobiles, and quads use thumb throttles.
I grew with motorcycles, I like a twist ;-}

If the bike has a clutch lever and you have 2 brake levers, a dual pull brake lever is awesome.
I use the Tetter-Todder dual pull lever that SickBikeParts carries.

It's pretty cool, it self adjusts to wear and even different pull lengths, this has a disc and a V-brake on it.

As for the bike falling over and breaking a lever, I don't think you need to worry about that bud ;-}

If such a thing happens I always carry vise grips;)

You can fix almost anything with vise grips, a hammer, or duck tape..... And I'm not joking. Seriously I've done it:)

I never thought of one lever issue that could arise. Since the base assembyis of plastic. It could break ! Somehow two levers definitelt add advantage with this situation

I like thumb throttle because it reminds my of my quad. Easier to use to keep idle up when clutch is disengaged and need to brake.

I had same thing worked out , tgmhat thumb throttle could at point be suoerior to the conventional bike throttle ,and one of them was braking. Good to knwo u were happy with it 'cause now i am really gonna gove it a try :-D
