Gt80 help

hi my name is Andrew and I recently bought a gt80 motor kit and a diy bike made for motors. I bought both of these from kings motor bikes. I am having trouble with the chain rubbing against the tire and I really don't know what to do. I tried putting in spacers I tried to move the sprocket's for the chain. I am now puzzled on how to fix this.

get a skinnier tire or mount a metal plate that the chain can hit instead of the tire.

ps- a little tire hitting is OK as long as you don't lose much rubber

I have no room to put a plate I'm thinking of getting a bigger axle. And it's hitting and now I can see wires in my tire.

You can have it either way. It needs to be like this if your hitting the tire (not with the broken axle lol only pic I had):)

I have this exact setup. you need to get a longer axle to make the wheel fit in the frame properly. this is the one i got:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GYBWTI0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

with the GT80 kit you should have gotten a hub adapter sprocket, make sure it's pushed all the way to the left of the hub.
also make sure your wheel is centered after you put the new axle in. I literally have ~1mm to spare between the engine chain and the tire.
let me know if you need any more help. good luck!

Get rid of the rag joint sprocket and get a clamshell sprocket mount. They can usually be moved back and forth sideways to some degree. It's hard for me to believe they still make those crappy rag joint sprockets. But that's China for you. Never improve anything.

How fast does your gt80 kit go on that bike? When it's broken in? Still have yet to order the axle
