Best Starting 66cc Engine and Where to Buy

They are pretty much all the same Chinese 2 stroke, I got mine of of eBay for 100 bucks, but there are more advanced kits that are USA made but those pass the 300 dollar mark. I just got the 100 dollar one and upgraded it with a bunch of American made parts. You can also get the original Honda made motor that the Chinese version copies, but those don't come with a kit, and they are expensive.
Uh these motors aren't Honda clones......
They were based off a Russian made motor lutiva? If I'm not mistaken
And the Grubee Skyhawk is by far the best 2 stroke kit out there. I have used all types of 2 stroke kits from eBay kits too gasbike, and the Grubee has been most powerful and most reliable for the money:)

Even what your calling 'USA made kits' aren't even US made, they are built in China but re assembled in America with supposed better parts....

Oh. that's good to know, I thought I saw several honda made versions of these motors, I must be thinking of the 4-stroke version, and as for the American motors, There are American made and assembled motors out there, but I haven't seen an all American kit.

They are made in China. All of them.
Unless you've found something I haven't, do you have a link?

the original motor these are based on were made in Latvia (soviet union at the time). the chinese version is far enough removed from the original motor that it could be considered it's own thing. there's no parts commonality, the whole thing was redesigned to make it cheaper, and minor changes over the years means even some older parts don't fit newer motors anymore.

No, I saw on ebay a couple weeks ago though, they pop up occasionally, not sure if they are real though

Frame in latvia and engines in Russia(st Petersburg)

well if that's what they are calling balanced I can guarantee that it isn't. Look at the photo of their "balanced" crank (the standard crank) and at my crank (bought in 2010) which I balanced by putting a hole in between the two existing holes. Doesn't the holes look the same size on my crank and on the crank falsely claiming to be balanced? (I mean the two outer holes.)
ps- my crank also has 12 lightening holes in it which are filled with blue foam in this shot before I filled the ends of the holes with JBWeld. the conrod pin and standard balancing holes are also filled in with JBWeld to increase crankcase compression which is supposed to help with high RPM power.
