Bicycle Brands

Nice bike man, but i dont recommend that head if it is the Chinese 1 I used to have that and I grenaded my motor, I think because it warped, that thing get seriously hot because of its cheap aluminum and lack of surface area

It is not Chinese, not warped, not made of cheap aluminium, and has a huge amount of surface area, evident from looking at it.

Walmart frames (other than roadmaster) are fairly strong. Everything else is junk, especially the wheels. The Electra Townie is a good bike to motorize, and so is the Worksman. Both are fairly expensive. I've bought my bikes off Craigslist. Yes there is a possibility you might wind up with a stolen bike, and that would be unfortunate. But, unlike cars and motorcycles, bicycles do not have VIN numbers, and since they do not have to be registered (at least here) there is really no chance the cops are going to show up at your door. I would not buy a bike if I had any reason to believe it might be stolen. A cheap price on an expensive bike in great condition is a tip off. Steve, I would definitely replace that Chinese chain tensioner with something better.

<SOME SNIPPED> Steve, I would definitely replace that Chinese chain tensioner with something better.

Are you kidding? I've added a second one on the top since!
These do have a single bearing in them but I have worn one out already and getting them tight on the stay is a problem.
I did add one to the top because I was getting an occasional top chain oscillation. It barely touches the top chain to dampen vibes.
Ideally I'd like to have a lightweight brace between both stays with a 50mm diameter double bearing roller. Until then...

Man I wish I could make it at least 3 miles. The huffy cranbrook that I have built twice now, the came with a motor on it I took it apart clean the engine and everything. But I still couldn't make it far at all the coaster brake setup just can't hold up. I got a new huffy something and I was able to make it work. Until I took a turn leaving work and the coaster brake literally just fell to piece in the middle of the roaf. I push the bike two miles to my house in 28% humidity at 101℉. Not a good time cause I just finished building it. It's been pretty crappy.

I have two nirve cruisers. One is a nirve B1 the other is a nirve 53. Both super strong bikes. Also like Kustom Cruisers Moto glides, but they don't make them anymore so you have to find them used. Ol grey is the B1, and has been a motorized bike working flawlessly since aug. 2012.

IMAG0121.jpg this the first one I ever built. I replaced the coaster twice on it. It's getting real old

How many miles you putting on your bikes???
Its hard to tell cause I'm constantly changing things around. Ol grey has been resting a while. It's still in great form I'm just kinda partial to the Kustom Cruiser cause of the j shaft to the 4 speed hub with a little over 1000 miles in about a year and a half on it. Around 500 on the stretch frame cruiser. I generally have around 5 or 6 bikes complete so I'm not always ridding my keepers. this is my front porch right now with two more new builds complete in the tool shed.
