Break In The Wrong way to Break a New Engine in!

I think that

From What I see.......I do not see that you lost too much. You should have no worries. These are low compression motors. they do not run super hot after break in. You will be fine. The damage is more cosmetic than anything. No big deal...

Thanks for the input Dax. You would probably be the one to know since you have to deal with motorbike poblems every day.
Hey maybe I could be a hillbilly and wrap copper tube around for a heat sink? He He!

leave as is ...

dont think loosing portions of fins will affect overall performance

this'll do it

sneeze so hard so some of your brain comes out. hopefuly the part you damadged while damaging the motor....
STEP 2 mix said brain parts"aka gray matter" with J-B weld
STEP 3 form new fins with newly formulated "I can't beleive it's not my brain making my bike go faster" compound ......and enjoy! only your relatives will be able to appreciate how fast your bike is........after they have sent you back to your room and ridden home with it !

Seen plenty of old lawn mowers missing fins and still ran fine. I think you will be fine!

You know, you very well may have something there.
Copper being a good conductor of heat can serve as a heat dissipator if you can somehow run water or antifreeze thru like a small radiator, wrap the copper tubing around the head and get that fluid to turn by a water pump attached to that Happy Time PTO kit I saw Dax sell, then you would have a liquid cooled Happy Time!

I've actually seen copper tubing (the size that is used to feed your icemaker in the kitchen) cooling system that was neatly wrapped around the cylinder head and pumped by a small electrical pump to an oil cooler that was converted to use as a radiator.

It wasn't on a motorbike but on a different application. I personally wrap copper tubing around glow engines so I can fly them in the winter. The copper tubing in this instance helps retain engine heat so the methanol/nitromethane fuel can properly vaporize.

Thats a really good idea! You could just run the coolant pump off of the drive chain? Small oil cooler and copper tubing, then bam! water cooled engine (kinda)
