I never know the bike although I know the vehicle mechanism.

It's only one cylinder. Timing not needed.
There is no neutral per say for there is no transmission.
Pulling in your clutch is your neutral.
Now you know! :D
does this mean you got to pull the clutch lever when you want to ride the bike normally (human power)?

if you are gonna pedal a long way, I have found it is better to remove master link and take chain off till you are ready to go powered again
even with clutch dis-engaged, there is still 'drag' from engine

Thats a bit of a downer, so the motor chain moves when the bike wheel moves, , unlike the bike chain, which only move when pedalling. do the grubee hub kits solve this problem?

Not any hub kits I have seen. The grubee kit gives you a more solid place to mount your sprocket. The chain is still in constant motion.

You need the the drive sprocket to be solid or you will not have a way to start the motor.

thats no good, peddling would be a hard task then, i was hoping the hub kit would lock the motor sprocket into the hub similarly to the bicycle sprockets and move only when the motor is engaged.
