Torn between Tanaka 32 or R/S 35 GEBE kit. Decided!!

Yes, me too...

Would like source for fuel cell and hook-up pics, if possible. I think I might hang it on the side-rack I installed on the bent for bags.

That trailer is awesome piece of work. Puts Burley to shame.

R/S 35 vs Tanaka 32

The 4 stroke engine, R/S 35, is definitely the right choice for your particular application. I would also wager that long after the 2 stroker is on its butt, that little 4 stroker will still be running good. If it's low end torque, quietness, and durability you're after, then the R/S is the obvious answer. If it's speed, and less low end torque, (common characteristics of a 2 stroker), then I'd say get the Tanaka. I definitely love my R/S 35 after 600 miles, she's loosening up a little, and really purring. No busted spokes either, after the 10 guage spokes...so far... ;)

Loose 150# of your stated 350# Roy Carpenter and you would not need 10g spokes. You make a point of omitting that fact in most all of your wheel posts.

Lol...Well, Ol' Pete! I really wasn't trying to "make a point" of omitting my weight...it may seem that way to you, but not so. If I didn't mention my weight in every single post, I appologize for that, (although most folks don't..lol). Just remember that the spoke breaking issue with the GEBE drive ring isn't mine alone. I'm working on loosing the weight...but you aren't even slightly aware of my health condition, and should be a little more respectful toward fellow forum members, regardless of your personal opinions. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this string about R/S, and Tanaka? I was just trying to give you a little friendly feedback, and got dissed! Still, I thank you for your advice! :) PS: Besides that, I think you are just envious of my new back wheel!!! lmao J/K

Well 5-7...I try to be as much help as I can out here. Without you guys, I would have been totally lost. The forum gave me options, and enough information to get my bike squarred away. You, and the others have been nothing but helpful, and encouraging to me. I have criticized the GEBE system problems I've been having with mine. None of it was "made up". Heck, two thirds of this country is overweitht, (USA), and I thought I owed it to them to let them know what they are getting into, should they decide to build a kit. I guess I've mentioned the "broken spoke blues" enough though...startin' to get on some of the member's nerves...My appologies there folks. ;)
