Just a quick question guys....does the 415H chain that fits the countershaft sprocket on the Happy Time 2-stroke engine also fit the countershaft sprocket on the Grubee Gearbox/Clutch kit using a Honda GXH 50 engine.
The reason i'm asking is that i can get 9,KMC K910 Extreme Freestyle chains at AU$11 each.
I know these chains fit PERFECTLY on Happy Time sprockets but dunno about 4-strokers(yet)
Thanks in advance. :)

You, sir, are the second person here on MB.C to say so. The other fellow mentioned "BMX" chain... same difference. :p

I don't know the answer to your 4-stroke sprocket question, but I am going to buy that KMC chain and toss the stretch-O-matic 415 kit chain into the trash.

Thanks!

:)~

I have been using a KMC Z510H for almost a year
4th bike it's been on (2x Haros, Deviate, and present Schwinn Jaguar)
all this time, and it has never stretched or given me any problems
it is a very similar chain apparently (it's nickname is 'dropbuster')

I see that Z510H is a 1/8" chain vs. the 3/16" of 415H or the K910. Is that the stock happy time sprockets it's attached to?

That would be great news for me. I've been wondering how to match 3/16" drive sprocket to 1/8" driven on an internal hub. And lower weight to boot!

the engine sprocket has to be the narrow one dax sells
or the stock from livefast (the one I have)
the narrow chain solves a lot of clearance issues

What about the driven sprocket? Are the standard 36-55 tooth ones narrow enough for the Z510H 1/8" wide chain? Or do those need to be special narrow ones as well?

i have a 1/8" X 1/2" (single speed chain) on a 4 stroke/grubeeII and it has worked well. The chain tensioner plays a very big part in getting this chain to work..It must be setup perfectly to work correctly, there is no margin for error in guiding the chain on the sprocket. They do stretch but not nearly as much as the .415...If you do use a 415 on the 4 stroke kit, be sure that the master link is on the right side (away from the drive sprocket) or the clip will come off, and believe me you'll never find it if it does.

the boy go fast 50 tooth is a wider sprocket there is no front or back its undished so 415 or I think 42 is the only choice on them the stocker is kinda strechomatic lookin but as fore the aftermarket 415 or 42 wayyyyyyyyyyy big difference course you could spend 10 clams on a replacement from ruiong ltd ,or whatevewr, or trust the manu of the sprockets Id order a new 42 or 415 ifn it was me but you asllready know the main reason big wide sprocket(s). but Ive got 430+ miles an chain is still ridgid on the side bend tests. piggy tails
