`ok thanks i was thinking it to my local exhaust masters i think its called i usually prefer usa muffler i think its called but exhaust masters is about 2 blocks from my house i might pedal it over there and ask for a quote on attaching the stock muffler to the end, no welder here. my dad knows how to weld but he usually sneaks stuff in his coat or jeans (he works t a hi security steel mill) but since the exhause comes up to my mid torso and with the new attachment my neck, that would be hard to but in a pants leg lol:D

thanks norman, ill have to check, i am going to show this to my dad he knows more about exhausts than me. oh and thanks sir jake my dad used to work in a bike shop and he has 2 harleys, so i didnt have any probs with the alignment or tightness, the pedal chain hangs a bit but its still stiff because i have the back end tightened pretty tight there fore it soesnt pedal back as much if u can understand that im not good explainin stuff. oh and as for the tensioner it hit everything upright and the pipe all the way down so i flattened it out to reduce twisting and added some screws in the frame so it wont move (i use my tap set to its fullest lol oh, im adding more pics of how i mounted the tank (with double sided tape and drilled holes in da frame.) i think ill check out that pipe sounds cool p.s. the vid is up www.youtube.com/eltatertoto

Yeah thats the one. It goes a bit further back on my bike than the one in the picture you have there because I have my motor mounted really close to the seatpost tube. It seems to work fine on my StingrayXL but very tight clearance near the left pedal. I like how you did your motor mounts a lot! keeps them nice and hidden and the double sided tape must secure it even more while protecting the tape. Very nice. I've seen another long chopper pipe on a website that actually looks like it curves under the bike then back out again, havent tried it but looks nice. And as a word of caution never ride your stingray with shorts on... I have a dark spot on my calf from the one time I rode it with shorts and I got a nasty burn from the long exhaust. It didnt hurt and it healed fine but the mark is still there. Just be careful of it :)

thanks sir jake i really havent had much time or warmth to ride it (only 3 miles) its is sooooo cold lol but the tape was purely there for proper alignment, i put the braket on the tank, tape on bracket ligned up the tank, and pushed down hard, then lifted the tank leaving the brackets in the perfect place it might woarm up before the weeken mabey 30 lol in wich case i will be riding (if i have quieted it down a bit) my dad said it sounds like a jet plane taking off lol it actually DID make me a little bit hard of hearing outa my left ear for a 1/2 hr no joke.... oh and as for the pedal i had topush on the pipe in order to bend it for it not to hit my pedal...

Very cool bike. All the talk about the mufflers makes me want one. Good work.

thanks alot a lot of itme and effort went into putting that together oh i will be taking better pics and possibly a vid of the bike the pics are substandard due to now letting my cam sit outside to get used to the temp wich ment when i took those pics the lens was foggy :(

ok guys i took a better vid, its at www.youtube.com/eltatertoto, i figured out why it wont idle, the engine was tilted 2 far back, making the float push up on the fork, thus my carb flooded all the time, oh and i stuffed the pipe full of fiberglass ill do a vid of that tommro. it still takes forever to come down in rpms though.. if anyone knows why please let me know thanks anyway if you wwant to see the new vid go to www.youtube.com/eltatertoto thanks. dont forget to leave comments! :)
