home made tensioners First I tapped longer threads on some 1/4" bolts. Then Cut off the heads, and ground flats to use to tighten them. I'll get som
extracting tensioner I cut a slit on the end, in order to rotate it. The I ground away the bent part in order to thread it down and out.
tensioner remnant not only is it mangled, but it's bent, so that it only rotates 1/4 turn.

I can't fill any more of these holes until Monday when I can get my argon bottle refilled. My little engine is in Salt Lake city, so I suppose there will be time to make the welds before it's time to begin bodging. Seriously, this is going to be a reversible conversion, and no Roadmasters will be harmed, so I use the term "bodge" in jest.
I'm digging around for a more pleasing style of handlebars. After sitting on it with the seat as low as possible, I don't think i'm going to run drop bars. I think they look great like that, but I'm going for comfort over style......to a point.
