The beginning of my fiberglass tank cover- .25" form core board, cut to shape, the taped together with duct tape- this is mock up with masking tape.
This is after 1 coat of resin and sanding. I used two coats- sanding with 60 grit between.

The front leaf spring- formed from flat stock I found in my Dad's barn
The rear leaf spring made from 1.5" flat stock and stays make from .5" tube stock- brazed
4/08- when I thought I would use a rear fender- now I have a rear leaf spring instead
