Nebraska Motorized Bicycle Laws

In Nebraska a motorized bicycle is defined as a moped. A moped is any vehicle that:
  • Is operated with either its 50cc or less motor OR by pedals (human power).
  • Maximum 2bhp.
  • Can not go faster than 30mph.

License

You do not need a license in Nebraska to ride a motorized bicycle as long as it fits within the definition of a moped above.

Registration

You don't have to title or register a motorized bicycle in Nebraska as long as the bicycle does not exceed the specifications above.
