After 2 years I put gas in the tank and it started right up. It ran as though I used it the day before, I expected all kinds of problems. It even idled like a well tuned engine would, I can hardly believe it, 2008 I bought it and no problems. Anyone ever heard of this kind of luck?

If the float bowl was empty when you last used it, there would be nothing in it to deteriorate, so when you started it next, it was on fresh petrol. Message for all 2 stroke users, drain the carb if you're going to leave it standing for any length of time.

I shut off the fuel petcock, drive the bike till it runs out of gas. I always do this to keep the fuel from turning to shellac in the bowl. Thanks for input, Ludwig II.
