26" 1.175 tire

Anyone know if I can run a 1.175 tire on a 2" rim 26" for back tire. I cant find a 1.195 whitewall tire. Thanks GT

For a 2" wide rim I don't think a 1.175 tire is wide enough, thats over 3/4ths of an inch narrower. The narrowest tire I would use would be a 1.75 in tire. You'd be expanding the tire too much and deforming the natural contour of the tire assuming it would seat properly.

He probably means 1.75 and 1.95. I don't think there is such thing as a 1.175 or 1.195 tire, or at least, I have never seen one!

You can run 1.75 or 1.95 tires on a 2" wide wheel.
