I had a 4 stroke Bicycle engine (no brand name could be found just made in China) given to me I would like to get it up and running so i can sell it.
If i can get it running the person that gave it to me will buy it back if I can get it running he just knows nothing about engines so he got rid of it, but would love to give me $50.00-75.00 + parts if i can get it running
I put a new carb and a new spark plug, It has compression , spark , new gas in a new can , with no wires touching and yes the motor is grounded .
what the **** could it be. I'm lost, any suggestions???
The engine is only 2 years old I just hate something beating me .

Can you get spark from a coil but it still be bad sound like a stupid questions but I'm lost.

Is the spark plug firing? What does the spark plug look like? Is it wet? I'd verify that the plug is firing then spray a lil quick start/gas into the intake and see if it runs. See wassup.

How is the motor grounded? Are you sure your not using the kill switch wire to ground the engine?

    Is the spark plug wet?

    Good Luck,

I have tried disconnecting the kill switch I have even connected a wire from the motor itself to the frame of the bike to make sure it is grounded.
I even tried connecting a wire from the coil to the frame to make sure it is grounded and still nothing.
was told maybe I had the throttle to tight so I disconnected the throttle.

Are you getting fire through the spark plug?

I'd suggest what darwin suggested, try some starting fluid or very small amount of gas. If that don't do it, it could be the CDI unit is bad and that is why is stopped running in the first place.

    Good Luck,

BigBlue that did it. Starting fluid did nothing, But gas did the trick, took 5 different times of adding the gas and a drill to to keep it constantly turning but finally got it to start. Now she purring like a kitten, starts on the first pull.
As always if some one here can not help then it probably beyond help thank for all your help
