Been doing these 2 strokes a long time but this one has be whipped.....66cc...has bluish, whitish spark at plug.....new carb...compression tester jumped to over 200psi but then fell (is that normal?)...still engine won't start.....have checked everything with no results..open to all suggestions...

Have you tried spraying some gas/quick start into the carb? Does it fire up? You have a good blue spark so it must be fuel. Do those have a sheer key on the crank/fly wheel? If it shears just a tad it can put it out of time. Do you have good suction at the carb intake when turning over, if not one/more of the reed flaps might be messed up.

when I see high compression like that, I usually start checking for a bunch of oil in motor - drain carb & check that user didn't try to mix fuel in tank & get a blob of pure oil down into bowl

same old same old.

change the plug to a ngk.

remove carb, insert petrol down intake.

attempt start. if starts... carby. if not....something in engine, which can be either bad timing (check magneto+key), bad plug (we changed that though!) or busted crank seals (usually the one under the magneto). replace cruddy chinese seals with these...

very rare...make sure the head itself is electrically connected to the engine!
