Well, after about 10 hours of wet sanding and 2 hours of buffing and polishing I came out with this. It is not a mirror finish by far but this is as much work as I was willing to do. What do you guys think?

I did the same to mine. - Beats paint, because if you get a scratch, you just polish it out.

I've seen it done before. I sure don't have 10 hours to devote to doing that though.

    Thanks!

Yeah I didn't want to paint it and I really didn't want to leave it like it came from the factory. These things come full of deep scratches from what looks like a wire wheel. Good for paint maybe but definitely not for polishing. Hence, the 10 hours of sanding.

I wouldn't say it was fun but it was drawn out over several days lol. I worked in stages starting at course grit and moving all the way up to the finer stuff before I got to the polishing stage. Polishing it was definitely the easiest part of the process. Wet sanding a bike frame is so awkward.
