There is probably a Lincoln Mark VIII forum somewhere that will have step-by-step instructions on how to do the job. I had to replace the orifice and evap on a Nissan 200SX and I found a step-by-step procedure with pictures on a Nissan related forum.

As far as any other tips, don't use a refrigerant with "leak sealer" because it will plug up the orifice and clog the evap. :D Rent or borrow a vacuum pump and pump all the air out of the system. This is the one step that many DIY'ers skip, and it results in poor cooling performance. (You may already know this stuff, but it my be helpful for someone else with minimal knowledge)
