Bicycle Vise

Hey, does any body have ideas/pictures about a homemade clamp or vise that will hold a bike to work on. Better would be to hold it off the ground so you can start and run the motor to set up the drivetrain.

Yes, there are home-made bike stands and commercial ones out there. Seems like you can buy one for a bit over a hundred bucks.

I definitely remember a thread with all sorts of photos of home made stands. It was either on this forum or on a site called "bikeforums". Shouldn't be hard to find.

Or you could just hang your bike up with lashing straps. That's what I do. It's pretty simple that way.
