Bike Paint

I'm wanting to paint my red bike black. i dont care if its shiney or not i just dont want the paint to ware off when it gets wet and etc... Whats the less expensive way to paint a bike? :?

strip all mechanical parts from frame
anything you can't take off, tape it up or cover with paper
scuff up old paint (remove shine) so new paint will stick
spray bomb it

Anything you don't remove, wrap in aluminium foil, much easier to use than paper and tape

good tip Chopper, I have had fits trying to get all the masking tape off after paint.

I paint at a metal fab shop and do automotive painting at my house.Those are all good tips for a inexpensive paint job.I also use seran wrap to cover stuff.Anoth tip would be to spray bomb some clear over the paint to make it last longer.

mfp mad max goose bike paint scheme?

has anybody painted their bike to look like goose from mad max, the mfp bikes?

I have had good luck with paint from hardware stores. Once you finish scuffing and sanding, clean the frame with glass cleaner or a mild solvent. Keep it clean until painted. You will be happy with it.
