Does putting a boost bottle make it a richer mix or make it a leaner mix in fuel?

never ran one, but if it works to save fuel that was spit back, then reload it, seems that would make you richer

never heard anyone prove they did much tho

theyre factory fitted to big engines like the yamaha banshee... they have been designed for a specific engine for a specific reason, and someone paid the engineers well for the time spent.

if you swallowed the hype that someone used to sell you one, and paid for it... ha ha :)

they are not just a plug and play thing like a pc keyboard, they are more like a guitar or the trombone...they are tuned!

youll be fiddling and stuffing around and even then theres no guarantee that theyll do anything.

as for the actual question... neither. well, theyre meant to minimise "reversion" through the carb, so technically, they would lean it out...but only at a certain RPM, for which they are tuned.

did you really expect a simple answer?

A boost bottle only does one thing: remove money from your wallet and nothing else.

They are a useless item as a performance enhancement device.

i only partially agree with that one, because if you have ever tried tuning something that has one factory fitted, when its been removed...oh boy! they work in CONJUNCTION with other things, not simply by themselves ;) modified carbs, modified intakes, modified exhausts, modified everything...

agreed with the nasty "quick! sell! make money!" ones sold on ebay or similar. they are to make money from gullibles, nothing else :)

With respect to the Chinese 2-stroke motorized bicycle engine, a boost bottle is a complete waste of money.

and pit bikes, pocket rockets, mini quads, cag 49cc's, min choppers, the list goes on and on and on and on and on and on and... money makers :)
