Hey guys. I recently came across a honda cr80 as41 cdi. I was wondering will it work on my 80cc motorized bike

If it has a separate trigger coil then it won't work.
If it's the type CDI that only relies on the two wires from the stator coil then it will work.

Your best spark upgrade is an $8 NGK 5944 (BPR7HIX) Iridium spark plug.

I found an as41 coil with the plug wire on it. Does it need a cdi or can i hook it straight to my magneto wires

that is just a high voltage coil
    You need a CDI

yay. you got yourself an as41 ignition coil...

    its off a honda :)

    good for you.

    guess what?

its useless. will you ask if you can use it again?

or will you do some research and find the schematic to make your own CDI so you CAN use this much coveted coil?

oh, probably cant solder or read circuit schematics. shame. all five components or so...its very complex.

and definitely cant read, having ignored any previous answers and asked exactly the same thing again...

now the repetitive questioning has ceased, heres something to get you started ;)

bt151 or the 106d, both work. that simple one doesnt even need a board.

Naw, not mentally challenged, simply ignorant.

Ignorance is simply not possessing the knowledge YET.
Stupid/Challenged/Whatever is the pretty much the inability to learn.

Drewsky, See if Jaguar will sale you just the CDI that will work with your coil but unless you have high performance engine my plug suggestion and of course an expansion chamber exhaust will give you more band for the buck than your coil.

its neither. its society. being clever is bad bad bad. its all about how shiny things are and how good they look, not whether they work! (apple products, hah hah...)

if something interests someone, they do a search...then they realize theres maths involved, algebra, and they have to study that...then theres actual work, experimenting required... :eek2: WHAAA? sod it! im watching youtube!

we wouldnt have computers if someone hadnt figured out (by experimenting) thermionic valves(tubes) transistors, and all the other wonderful things we now enjoy due to the hard dilligent efforts of a few, that then decided to share their results...

spoon fed moronic irrelevant mind fluff from a box from birth, the present state of our society falls rather short of the ideal...

i thank the guys that learnt foundry work to make my mill and lathe.

i thank the guys that sorted out the electronics and wiring and hardware required to plug them into a computer...

i thank the guy that developed the software so my puter will talk to my machines and vice versa...

the guys that developed the software so i can draw on my puter...

the guys that developed the software to turn that drawing into something on my mill...

i have no thanks for the lazy git that owns them and barely uses them, making excuses better than anything  and has no real idea of whats going on when $H17 happens...

same for the 3D printer...oh my, that IS a head trip!

    a digression? maybe..

rather waste time making things than waste time watching telly or playing puter games...i end up with tangible objects :)

worst comes to worst...theres night college, open schools, old guys with garage/basement workshops, etc... people always willing to help :)

yuk...apartment living. i would DIE without my two acres...

get out there and just DO IT! excuses are just excuses!

Does this plug fit with a high compression head. It's a little longer, isn't it.?

No, it won't fit, and it won't fit some strait heads either.
It is for stock slant heads.
