Hey, I'm not sure if there are any threads on this already, but i could not find one.

Anyhow, whether the clutch arm is sticking out(perpendicular to the frame) or in (parallel with the frame).... it is always in gear..

Any advice?

Pull the clutch lever in and let it lock. Now push the lever on the motor inwards with your hand as hard as you can. If that helps, you need to remove more slack from the cable. You are not the first one

nevermind that last post.
i tried what you said to do and it worked!! now i just need to make it tighter i guess..

i had to push pretty hard

and sure enough i can pedal around with ease!

thanks!!

Glad to hear that! Just so you know, the rod slides in and rests against a ball bearing that rests against the clutch. The spring is on the clutch side. If you can get a pal to help you, he can push the lever on the engine in for you while you slide that little cable end (with the screw)onto the cable farther. You can also unscrew the adjuster on the mount on the engine to take up some slack.
