what a diff.
My clutch has been making a bit of noise, since I first got the engine. Only 150 miles on the motor since the install.... (Grubee Gen II).
Was performing the normal lube maintenance. removing the clutch cover, greasing the splines. Also pulled the cover for the clutch arm side, and stuffed a bit more grease into the opening, (after pulling the pin & ball).
This time I also pulled the clutch pressure plate. I pinched the "straw" for my lithium grease aerosol can. To help focus the spray stream. added a gentle touch of lithium grease to the clutch ball bearing. (took a bit, since I didn't want to over spray. had to wipe a bit from time to time. to make sure nothing got on the clutch pads).
Re-assembled and fired up the bike, and wow! what a diff. the noise level is down, big time!
I figure this is something I'll do now for every 100 miles of operating time, or so.
