Made some custom mounts from sway bar bushings. Hoping to dampen a little vibration and save some wear and tear on the bike frame.

The mounting is really solid. Can't really twist the engine at all. Feels pretty much like a solid mount.

Looks like a nice way to mount the engine but the bushings won't dampen vibration in any meaningful way.

    Very clever engine mounts.

Agree with Fabian, feels the engine mounts like a solid mount, do they probably not so much benefit to vibration, but otherwise a clever solution :)

It looks very nice. Super clean. I like it allot .

Hard mount, soft mount or kinda-mount at least it's getting done. let's ride! You should post some photos of your master piece wen its done.

Looks like that should help avoid the crimping of frame tubes that can sometimes happen with exhaust clamp style mounts. That being said when used correctly exhaust clamps are all good.

Like how you turned some bushes into mounts tho, looks nice and clean and does away with that cruddy stock front mount that I really have no faith in personally.

I have 20 or 30 worn out spring bushes to suit Suzuki Samurai.. maybe..

Your sway bar mounts look like an awesome idea. Thank you for sharing.

It's pretty I suppose, but in my opinion soft mounts are a bandage for poor hard mounts. If the engine only has itself to vibrate, it doesn't have to overcome as much as if it had the bike and rider to vibrate as well. it's a lot easier to shake around 30 lbs than it is to shake 270 lbs.

soft mounts may be easier on your butt, but good hard mounts will always be better than any soft mount.

Those "pretty" soft sway bar mounts are designed to stop a 3300lb car from body roll on high speed cornering... if installed correctly I doubt 270lb would bother them much.
