Desperately need chain half link

This is my last attempt in asking for info on finding a chain half link for my Whizzer. If no answer the chain will stay loose and the bike is gonna get sold. Too much trouble with clutch, belts, and now the chain. Been fighting this for over a year now. I'll stick with antique cars and hotrods...their fixable, this thing is not. My vintage 1948 Whizzer is a dream. These newer ones are hopeless.

I have a half link, but not sure if it will work on older chain?

Finally, one of the local bike shops found a half link in their order catalog. Should have it Thursday. Sure hope its the right one, if not I'll looking you up. Lets hope this all works. Never thought I would be saying it, but I'll be glad to get rid of this troubled bike.
