Dumb suction carburetor question

My brand new Mitsubishi TLE 43 is a recalcitrant starter, more like an upperbody exercise machine than anything else.I go through all the motions, pressing the priming bulb umpteen times etc.Eventually it starts, but it typically takes at least 5 pulls plus.I noticed that when I keep pressing that bulb there allways remain bubbles in the return fuel line, but these disappear when it is running.Does this have any significance or not ?

If it's brand new it will probably start much easier after it has broken in.
